Galley – On a river cruise ship, Multiple Countries – Seasonal

Tasks / Responsibilities

  • Cooking at the highest level, at all sections and according to specified recipes
  • Developing fresh ideas for designing our menus
  • Professional food handling including buffet and guest service
  • Implementation of our quality standards in the galley
  • Compliance with HACCP requirements and labeling
  • Active support with deliveries and loadings

Requirements

  • Completed apprenticeship or specialized training as a cook
  • Minimum 2 years of professional experience in a comparable position
  • In-depth knowledge of the menu and food
  • Knowledge of the tools and functions in the galley
  • Good communication skills in English and/or German
  • Excellent teamwork and expertise

Employment conditions

  • Extra payments for overtime
  • Equally shared tips after each cruise
  • Accommodation and meals
  • Contract duration: March/April/June – November/December
  • Rotation: 6 weeks On / 2 weeks Off
  • Joining tickets are provided by the company
  • Travel tickets are provided by the employer only at the beginning of the season and end of the season if the person successfully completes the contract. The company gives a 200 Euro lump sum after each taken/organized vacation.
